I kid you not….
Let me start out by telling you one thing. I work at a car dealership as a receptionist. Nothing fancy, like say….a lawyer…
Just a few moments ago, I received a phone call. I open the phone conversation by saying, “Thank you for calling [name of workplace]. How can I direct your call?”. I was then greeted by a frantic lady on the other end of the phone, “HELLO!!?”. I said, “Yes ma’am, how can I help you?” Then the lady starts going on…and on…and on, “Yea, see uh, well what had happened was. We just went to Churches Chicken and my daughter bit into her food…and it BURNED HER MOUTH!!! So, I need to speak to a lawyer about this, because we gone sue them!”
I was stunned, I honestly did not know what to say next. So I mumbled out, “Ma’am. this is a car dealership so I can not help you with that.” Should I have been more sympathetic to her daughter’s mouth by saying something along the lines of, “I am sorry to hear that, maybe tell her to put some ice on it”. Or something like, “LET YOUR FOOD COOL OFF BEFORE YOU GO AND BITE INTO IT!” I don’t know?
This lady was honestly livid. “How dare they cook our food hot when we ordered HOT FOOD?!?!” It is disgusting the amount of people in our current society that look for ways to get something for nothing. They have an attitude of, “You owe me” and it’s outrageous. People like these are part of the reason that our society and economy is in such trouble. The government doesn’t owe you anything, I work for my money so I don’t owe you anything, and Churches Chicken doesn’t owe you anything. These people are leaches, sucking every bit of life out of this country. I hope her lawsuit gets laughed at and rejected, because it is absolutely ridiculous.
